Higgs-3 is a chip implemented using a low-cost CMOS process and EEPROM technology. The memory architecture is flexible, allowing for optimal allocation between EPC and User memory, enabling its use in both new applications and existing systems. The integrated circuit operates at extremely low power levels and can be both read and programmed with low RF power. Higgs-3 features a unique 64-bit serial code programmed during manufacturing. When combined with the EPC code, it provides a unique fingerprint for item recognition.
